Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga (Complimentary) – Mondays 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm – Victoria Hebert Great Room

Vinyasa yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale.

Cameron Station 2024 Annual Meeting Information

The Cameron Station Annual Meeting will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Cameron Club in the Victoria Hebert Great Room; it will be conducted in a hybrid format (Zoom and in-person). All voting will be conducted through Survey and Ballot Systems consisting of both paper and online balloting options as was offered in 2023. Click here for the meeting information and to register your attendance.

The Cameron Club will be a polling place for the General Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, beginning at 6:00 am. Please see below for guidelines provided by the Election Office:

Time: 6:00 am to 7:00 pm

Location: Cameron Club, Victoria Hebert Great Room

Entry: 200 Cameron Station, Fitness Center entrance

Exit: Side exit within the Great Room

Signs will be posted throughout the Cameron Club to show entry and exit. Volunteers will be on site to guide and assist with parking.

Yoga classes appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures may be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember. This yoga style encourages a highly individualized approach to practice with on-going encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments.

Zumba

It's fun and effective, using interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an effective aerobic workout while at the same time targeting your legs, abs, glutes and arms. The workout is watch and follow. The moves are repeated often enough for you to catch on and they're not complicated. The routines are repeated week after week with additions every now and then to spice things up even more! Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be 'FUN AND EASY TO DO' for Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is not only great for the body, but it is also great for the mind!
