Dinner Promotion to Support Alexandria Tutoring Consortium
Many Cameron Station residents tutor at Tucker Elementary through the Alexandria Tutoring Consortium (ATC). On Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the Royal Restaurant in Old Town will donate 20% of food and bar proceeds (after tax and tip) directly to ATC. St Patrick’s Day Parade - March 1, 2025
The Ballyshaners 42nd Alexandria St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on King Street in Old Town on Saturday, March 1, 2025, beginning around Noon. All events are free to the public.
Alexandria holds the first St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the DC area, traditionally the first Saturday in March. The parade features pipe bands, Irish dance schools, community groups, and a host of other performers and entertainment.
With thousands of spectators and participants expected, parade goers are encouraged to take advantage of public transportation. The closest Metro is the Blue Line, King Street/Old Town. There is a free trolley from the Metro, or the activities can be reached by a short 10-minute walk down King Street. For more details, click onto https://ballyshaners.org/about/.
