Zumba

Zumba (Complimentary) - Saturdays 9:00 am- 10:00 am - Multipurpose Court

It's fun and effective, using interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an effective aerobic workout while at the same time targeting your legs, abs, glutes and arms. The workout is watch and follow. The moves are repeated often enough for you to catch on and they're not complicated. The routines are repeated week after week with additions every now and then to spice things up even more! Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be 'FUN AND EASY TO DO' for Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is not only great for the body, but it is also great for the mind!

Walk for ALIVE!

Sun. 19 Oct, 2025 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join your neighbors on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in a 5-kilometer walk through Del Ray or 5-mile walk through Old Town to raise funds for ALIVE!, the largest private safety net in the City of Alexandria dedicated to fighting poverty and hunger. Kickoff is 2:00 pm at George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mt Vernon Avenue, and there will also be a post-walk celebration , with food, live music, and raffle prizes.

Prizes will be given to the teams which have the largest number of registered team members and which raise the most money. We want that to be “The Cameron Station Striders”! Please tap on the flyer to register and click here for more details. Walkers of all ages are welcome!

Cameron Station Halloween Event

Cameron Station's Halloween Event will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Here are some of the details so far:

  • Parade -- beginning at 11:00 am from Farmers Market parking lot to Cameron Station Circle Gazebo;
  • Costume Contest -- at Gazebo for best individual, best group, and best pet costumes, with prizes for winners and runners-up in each category;
  • Candy goody bags, trick or treat bag giveaways, and more!

Volunteers are needed to help fill goody bags on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 7:30 pm, in the Victoria Hebert Great Room. Please email events@cameronstation.org for any questions!

Vinyasa yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale.

Yoga classes appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures may be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember. This yoga style encourages a highly individualized approach to practice with on-going encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments.

POMSQUAD Fitness Class Canceled for Zumba

PomSquad Canceled - Zumba at 6:30 pm - Multipurpose Court

It's fun and effective, using interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an effective aerobic workout while at the same time targeting your legs, abs, glutes and arms. The workout is watch and follow. The moves are repeated often enough for you to catch on and they're not complicated. The routines are repeated week after week with additions every now and then to spice things up even more! Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be 'FUN AND EASY TO DO' for Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is not only great for the body, but it is also great for the mind!
