Spring is in the air—and there’s no better time to refresh your home and clear out the clutter. This April, in honor of Earth Month, Cameron Station is making it easier than ever to lighten your load and give back. Whether you’re finally tackling that overstuffed closet, parting with unused furniture, or passing along a bike that’s collecting dust, we’ve got an event for that. Ready to jump into Spring Cleaning mode? Here's how to get started:
Step 1: Clear the Junk
Junk Removal Event
🗓 Saturday, April 5, 2025 | 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
📍 Cameron Club Parking Lot
Declutter with purpose! This is your chance to part with bulky, broken, or unwanted items that have no business taking up space in your home. Please note that some parking spaces will be blocked off ahead of the event to accommodate the junk removal truck.
💡 Spring Tip: As you clean, create three piles: Keep, Donate, Toss. Be honest—if you haven’t used it in a year, do you really need it?
Bonus: Bring canned goods to support the Tucker Elementary School Food Pantry and lend a helping hand to families in need.
Step 2: Sell What You Can
Cameron Station Spring Garage Sale
🗓 Saturday, April 26, 2025 | 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Have treasures collecting dust? Turn your clutter into cash! Join your neighbors for our community-wide garage sale—no better time to purge while making a little extra spending money.
💡 Spring Tip: Organize your items by category, price them clearly, and have small bills on hand. Set up shop early to catch the early birds!
Step 3: Donate the Rest
Goodwill Donation Drive
🗓 Saturday, April 26, 2025 | 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
📍 Cameron Club Parking Lot
If it didn’t sell, don’t worry! Goodwill of Greater Washington is back to collect gently used items—from clothing and books to electronics and small appliances. Donations help fund local job training and education programs, so your old stuff can have new life.
💡 Spring Tip: Bag or box items by category to make drop-off a breeze. Check cords and batteries for electronics—only working items, please!
Step 4: Give That Old Bike a New Home
Used Bike Collection
📅 April 26 – May 2, 2025
Do you have a bike that no longer gets ridden? Donate it to someone in need! Cameron Station will be collecting used bikes for refurbishment and donation.
💡 Spring Tip: Dust it off and give it a quick once-over. A little cleaning goes a long way for the next rider!
A Fresh Start for You & the Planet
Whether you’re selling, donating, or tossing, every action counts. These events aren’t just about tidying up—they’re about community, sustainability, and supporting those in need. Let’s celebrate Earth Month by rolling up our sleeves and making space for what truly matters.
Happy Earth Month and Happy Spring!
