Join Grammy-nominated performer Culture Queen for an interactive musical storytelling show and learn the meaning of the Juneteenth holiday. Space is limited. Please visit the Youth Services desk 30 minutes before the program to request a ticket. In the event of inclement weather, program will be moved indoors.

Alexandria Oddball Cinema - See for Me | Thursday, June 18, 2026 | 5:30pm - 7:30pm | Large Meeting Room | Age group: seniors, adults
Oddball Cinema brings you all of the weird, eclectic, and lesser-known films you probably never saw in theaters. In this story, the protagonist is a blind teenager who’s fiercely independent. She gets a cat-sitting gig at an isolated mansion, and she uses a special app for blind people to familiarize herself with the layout and posh amenities. It seems like a cushy assignment until intruders arrive, at which point the app changes from convenience to lifeline.

Oddball Cinema brings you all of the weird, eclectic, and lesser-known films you probably never saw in theaters. A struggling screenwriter and standup comedian suffers no shortage of challenges both professionally and personally. His life takes a bizarre detour when a homeless person begins following him for no imaginable reason. Eventually he learns that there’s much more to this lurker than his unkempt appearance and chaotic demeanor.

Summer Soccer with ASA - Fútbol de verano con ASA | Wednesday, June 24, 2026 | 5:00pm - 6:00pm | Ben Brenman Park | Age group: 6-12
Join Alexandria Soccer coaches for an action-packed, fun-filled soccer practice! (Ages 6-12). Alexandria Soccer Association professional coaches will teach soccer skills and team-building games. Kids will practice dribbling, passing, scoring and learning all about soccer while having a blast. Come out and get moving! No soccer experience required.

Caroline Boomaars: is on a four-year adventure in the US, following her husband who works as an engineer officer for the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Very happy to be living in the warm and welcoming community that is Cameron Station, Caroline tries to give back by volunteering for Beatley Library, Friends of Beatley Library and recently joined Cameron Station’s Communications Committee.
