If you have spotted a new face around the Cameron Club fitness center, chances are you have already crossed paths with Jordan DeVault. Jordan recently stepped into the role of Fitness Director, and she brings a calm confidence that feels right at home here in Cameron Station.
Jordan lives in Alexandria and has deep Northern Virginia roots. This area has always been home, which gives her an easy familiarity with the pace and priorities of life in our community. That local connection shows up in how she talks about health, balance, and long-term well-being rather than quick fixes or trends.
Her path into fitness started early. Soccer filled her childhood, and strength training followed in high school. That interest turned into a career after she earned a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from VCU. After graduation, Jordan moved into corporate fitness, where she worked with adults juggling busy schedules, stress, and shifting health goals. The work sharpened her focus on realistic plans that fit into everyday life.
Personal training has been a major part of her background, and she plans to continue building her expertise through additional certifications. For Jordan, learning never stops. The field keeps changing, and she wants her knowledge to stay current and practical.
Ask her what she enjoys most about the job and her answer comes quickly. Watching people get stronger. Seeing confidence build. Noticing small wins stack up into real change. Those moments, quiet and personal, matter to her.
For anyone thinking about starting a fitness routine, Jordan keeps the advice simple and grounded. Start by defining your goals. Make them clear and realistic. Build a plan that supports them. Group exercise classes often help people ease into a routine, especially when motivation feels uncertain or accountability helps.
Outside the gym, Jordan keeps things fun. She loves trying new restaurants with friends, baking at home, belting out karaoke favorites, and settling in with Food Network shows. The teacher she once imagined becoming never fully disappeared either. That instinct to guide and encourage still shapes how she works with others.
The best advice she has received continues to guide her approach today. Prioritize physical and mental well-being. The habits formed now carry forward, shaping health and quality of life for years to come.
Looking ahead, Jordan has big plans for Cameron Station. She hopes to roll out more health incentive programs and bring neighbors together through community focused fitness and wellness events. Monthly health themes will anchor those efforts, with February launching as Heart Health Month. More details are on the way, so keep an eye out.
If you see Jordan around the Cameron Club, say hello. Whether you are new to fitness or refining a routine you already enjoy, she is excited to help make Cameron Station a place where health feels welcoming, achievable, and shared.
