The Compass periodically highlights recaps from recent Cameron Station Community Association Board of Directors meetings. The Board generally meets on the last Tuesday of every month. Meetings are open to the community to attend and observe, either in person or virtually. Each meeting includes a Homeowners Forum which is held early in the session and provides any homeowner three minutes to address the Board directly.

Board Meeting Recap
March 26, 2024
The Cameron Station Community Association Board of Directors (the “Board”) met on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Set out below is a recap of the key actions taken and discussions held at the meeting, which was held by virtual video conference and in-person in the Cameron Club. The Board Packet may be found HERE. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm and adjourned at 9:28 pm.
- The following residents were appointed as new committee members:
- Elizabeth Dubow was appointed to the Communications Committee;
- David Palmer was appointed to the Cameron Club Facilities Committee; and
- Matthew Rickert was appointed to the Financial Advisory Committee.
- The Board approved a proposal to repaint the Association’s metal fence along Duke Street.
- Power-washing of various locations within the Association and the pool furniture by Ecotek Power Wash was approved.
- The Board approved the proposed insurance premium offered through Cascade Insurance Group, representing an 8% increase over the prior annual policies, reflecting an 8% increase in building and property values.
- A new policy regarding Memorial and Recognition Plaques (Policy Resolution No. 24-01) was adopted.
- The Board approved a proposal by Lancaster Landscape to address a drainage issue on an area behind Waple Lane, John Ticer Drive, and Tull Place.
- The Cameron Club Operating Rules and Procedures (Amended P.R. No. 24-02) were revised.
- Management updated the Board regarding planned summer paving of Cameron Station Boulevard by the City of Alexandria, and the third (and final) phase of the Association’s paving project, comprehensive and holiday decoration inspections, and the status of the trial period of the Black Car Airport Service offered by the Association’s new shuttle bus operating company.
