Before the turkey hits the oven and the parade hits the TV, lace up your sneakers and head outside for a little pre-feast fun. The 5th Annual Turkey Trot is back, and it is the perfect way to start Thanksgiving morning. Whether you’re an early riser ready to sprint, a stroller-pushing parent, or someone trying to “earn” that second slice of pie later, this community favorite has something for everyone.
Join your friends and neighbors on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Brenman Park’s Farmers Market parking lot for all the action. The 5K starts at 9:00 am, followed by the Kids’ Trot at 10:00 am. Expect plenty of smiles, laughter, and maybe a few turkey hats bobbing down the path. Strollers, walkers, runners, and kids’ bikes are all welcome. This event is about fun, not finish times.
So set your alarm, grab your feathers or at least your sneakers, and come trot before you gobble. Whether you run your fastest mile or simply make it across the line with coffee in hand, you’ll leave with great memories and the perfect excuse for that extra helping of stuffing later.
